The course covers a basic outline of Unitarian, Universalist, and Unitarian Universalist history, with an emphasis on how understanding our history allows us to be more effective in fulfilling our religious mission.
Rev. Dr. Susan Ritchie is well-published on the topic of Unitarian Universalist history and identity, most recently in the Journal of Unitarian Universalist History, the Journal of Liberal Religion, the Journal of American Folklore, Seasons, the Journal of the Zaytuna Institute for Islamic Studies, Everyday Spiritual Practices, and Religion in Ohio. Her work has been translated into Hungarian and Turkish. Rev. Ritchie holds a PhD. in Cultural Studies from the Ohio State University and a Masters of Divinity from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio.
